The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i is a great travel companion for those times when the event, or location, simply screams to be remembered photographically. Multiple tracking and time-lapse modes

There are several different tracking modes available on the Star Adventurer Mount, allowing you to compensate for the speed with which different objects move through the sky, or to do time-lapse photography from 2 hours on up. There is even a 1/2 sidereal (12x) tracking mode that will let an instrument rotate a full 360 degrees during an exposure. Choose your tracking rate via an innovative, user friendly Mode Dial. It has several pre-programmed time settings that allow you to take unique star-scape and time-lapse photographs with ease.   The mount also supports shorter time-lapse photography via an automatic control of an optional DSLR shutter release cable.

Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i Mount is for astronomy, too

The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i is a high precision, portable celestial tracking mount that is capable of single axis auto-guiding in RA, or right ascension. The weight capacity of the Star Adventurer mount is approximately 11 pounds, or 5 kilograms. A Vixen-style saddle plate is provided, allowing you to attach a small telescope to the mount. Alternately, a 1/4-20 threaded bolt on the top of the mount will accept DSLR cameras.

This super portable mount can operate on just four AA batteries

The SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Multi-Function Mount can run on four AA batteries for up to 72 hours of continuous tracking. A mini USB port is also available to support external USB power and for upgrades to the firmware.

This mount weighs under 3 pounds, and there are plenty of optional accessories available, too, including a Latitude EQ Base, a Counterweight Kit, and a Dec Bracket. The Star Adventurer Mount will connect to any tripod with either a 1/4-20 or a 3/8-inch threaded bolt or quick release plate, or to a 3/8” ball head with the included Ball Head Adapter.
