This optical tube assembly is a 6″ Newtonian reflector will unravel the depths of space at an affordable price. Even though this Newtonian is intended for the LX85 mount, it can be used with a wide variety of mounts. In fact, this 6” Newtonian is much more portable and lightweight than a 6” refractor, capable of revealing deep space in your backyard, campsite, or even remote dark sky locations. The Meade LX85 6” Newtonian OTA has a fast focal ratio of f/5, resulting in bright, wide field images of the sky. You will be amazed by the true-color images of the Moon, planets, deep-sky objects, and other celestial wonders. Amateur astronomers who wish to try their hand at astro-imaging will appreciate the wide field of view.
To start you off right, Meade is including two 1.25″ eyepieces (a 26 mm and a 9 mm Super Plossl) as well as an 8 X 50 optical finder with the LX85 package. Your new telescope will be ready for observing right out of the box!
