Meade #62 T-Adapter – for LX Series Telescopes
This prime focus adapter fits all LX Series telescopes, including the Meade LT, LS, LX90, and LX200. Requires camera-specific T-Ring.
The Meade #62 T- Adapter is for prime-focus photography using SCT, Maksutov, or ED/APO refractors (with the addition of Universal Thread Adapter, sold separately). Output is a standard photographic T-Thread (male) to which many imaging devices including the Meade DSI will thread directly. A T-Ring (sold separately) is necessary to attach the Meade #62 T-Adapter to your SLR camera body.
Meade 62 T-Adapter #07352. Schmidt-Cassegrain style telescope adapter for prime focus photography. Compatible with all Meade LS, LX90 and LX200 models including ACF and older Schmidt-Cassegrain designs which have a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain rear cell thread. The #62 T-Adapter threads to the rear cell of the telescope directly without the use of an eyepiece holder. The output is a standard photographic T-thread (male) to which many imaging devices will attach directly. For film-based SLR cameras, a T-Ring is required, ordered separately for your particular brand of 35 mm camera. The appropriate T-Ring will thread onto the universal threads of the T-Adapter on one side and has the bayonet-mount unique to the user’s brand of 35 mm camera on the other side. In this way, the camera body is rigidly coupled to the telescope’s optical system, which in effect becomes the camera’s lens.
If you are purchasing this T-Adapter for use with a Meade ED APO Refractor, you will also need to buy the Universal Thread Adapter, which allows you to thread the T-adapter directly onto the focuser of the ED APO Refractor scope.
You will also need to purchase or have a T-Ring which is appropriate for your particular brand of camera body.
