Meade 6″ LX65 Maksutov-Cassegrain Optical Tube Assembly
Meade’s 6″ Maksutov-Cassegrain OTA is the next step in the best-selling LX65 of optical tube assemblies. The LX65 OTA is enhanced with Ultra-High Transmission Coating (UHTC) optics for sharp star images and extraordinary contrast, making it a great deep sky performer and ideal for detailed lunar and planetary observation as it easily soars to high magnifications. This Maksutov, aka “Mak” telescope has an aperture of 6″ and a focal length of 1800 mm, making it a great portable instrument for visual observing.
To start you off right, Meade is including a 26mm Super Plossl eyepiece that will reveal 70X magnified views. You will also receive a 1.25″ star diagonal so you can comfortably observe celestial objects all night long.
