Explore Scientific 14 mm – 100° Argon-Purged Waterproof 2″ Eyepiece

Introducing Explore Scientific’s 14mm 100° Eyepiece, the world’s first argon-purged waterproof eyepiece. This eyepiece features a 100-degree Apparent Field for optimal astrological views. The body is waterproof and argon-purged, preserving the internal elements, even after long nights of observations. The argon-purged body creates a sealed, dry environment that is impervious to internal fogging and contaminants such as fungus growth in between the lens elements. A waterproof eyepiece is easier to clean, and there is no risk of cleaning solution migrating from the top of the lens and seeping around edges to be trapped in between elements. To ensure a perfect seal, the eyepiece has been tested in one meter of water for 30 minutes.

All Explore Scientific telescope accessories are covered under their standard U.S.A. One Year Limited Warranty against defects with proof of purchase, but you can extend this limited warranty to five years by simply filling out the product registration and submit it to Explore Scientific within 60 days. This program is also available to the person who receives your gift of an Explore Scientific telescope. You don’t need to give them the purchase receipt, just remind them to fill out the registration and submit it to Explore Scientific and they will take care of the rest.
