The Celestron Labs S20 is an entry-level stereo microscope that is designed to magnify objects by 20x. Its the perfect choice for kids who come home with the latest bug or rock bulging from their pocket! Pull out the Celestron S20 microscope and take a closer look!
Inspect small everyday objects at 20x magnification
The S20 microscope has a 2x objective lens built into the head and comes with a set of 10x eyepieces. This combination provides 20x magnification. The dual eyepiece holders stand upright and adjust for variations in interpupillary distance between observers.
This stereo microscope is so easy to use! Install two AA batteries under the microscope’s base plate. Adjust the distance between the eyepiece holders to match that of your eyes, and turn on the S20 microscope. Place a specimen on the plate and look through the eyepieces, and then turn the over-sized focus knob until the image is sharp. That’s it! The built-in LED light will illuminate the subject, but if you feel you need more light, you can use a flashlight or a desk lamp.
Free bug specimens encased in plastic
The Celestron Labs S20 Stereo Microscope operates on two AA batteries—your first set of batteries is included in the box. To get you started on the road to discovery, Celestron has included two bug specimens that have been encased in plastic. Of course, specimens from your yard or a nature walk do not need to be encased in plastic for you to enjoy them, but these bugs will stay pristine for years to come. This microscope is so easy to use and so portable, it would be a great addition to a child’s desk or a hobbyist’s backpack.
