TeleVue 1.25″ 4.5mm Delos Eyepiece

The Tele Vue Delos series of telescope eyepieces were designed with the ground-breaking Ethos in mind.  Tele Vue imagined in Delos an eyepiece that had all the performance parameters of their extreme field eyepieces—including high contrast images with full field sharpness—but with a narrower field of view.  By reducing the Delos field to a comfortably wide 72 degrees, Tele Vue was able to increase eye relief to 20mm and control the size and weight of the finished eyepiece.

The TeleVue Delos line consists of eight short- to mid-focal length 1.25 inch eyepieces, including a 3.5mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 17.3mm.   Each eyepiece has a wide 72 degree apparent field of view, and extremely long eye relief of 20mm. 

Observers who have used and compared the Tele Vue Delos to other high quality 72-degree eyepieces report sharpness to the extreme edges of the field and extremely high light transmission with no lateral color.  The superb light through-put of the Delos is ensured by utilizing glass-matched low reflectance, high efficiency multi-coatings and anti-reflection surfaces throughout the eyepiece. 

Every Delos eyepiece has 20mm of eye relief, making the entire series perfect for all observers.  An adjustable eye-guard system has been designed into the Delos, and can be placed in any position by sliding it up or down and locking in place.  Indicator marks have been placed on the eyepiece body, allowing the observer to make note of their chosen eye-guard placement.  When others look through the eyepiece and change the eyecup setting, it will be fast and easy to re-set the eyepiece for your eyes. 

Observers who suffer from astigmatism are free to use Dioptrx with Delos eyepieces—the eye-guard rotates into position to accept a Dioptrx astigmatism corrector for your particular prescription.
