Meade 5″ LX65 Maksutov-Cassegrain Optical Tube Assembly
The Meade 5″ f/15 Maksutov-Cassegrain OTA features Ultra-High Transmission Coating (UHTC) optics for pinpoint star images and extraordinary contrast, making it a great deep sky performer and ideal for detailed lunar and planetary observation as it easily soars to high magnifications. This Maksutov, aka “Mak” telescope has an aperture of 5″ and a focal length of 1900 mm, making it a great portable instrument for visual observing.
To start you off right, Meade is including a 26mm Super Plossl eyepiece that will reveal 70X magnified views. You will also receive a 1.25″ star diagonal so you can comfortably observe celestial objects all night long.
