True to its name, Advanced VX delivers all the high-end features you need for crisp astrophotography. Celestron’s team of engineers designed Advanced VX from the ground up with imagers’ top concerns in mind. Unlike some mounts, the VX enables you to image across the meridian—the best part of the night sky—seamlessly, without doing a meridian flip.
The industrial design offers increased ridigity with less flexure, making this mount the ideal base for the 8” EdgeHD optical tube plus your camera, guiding system, and lots of accessories. Integer gear ratios and permanently programmable error correction eliminate tracking errors from the worm gear so you can achieve sharp images over long exposure times. Finally, beefed-up motors provide more power to help your mount overcome slight load imbalances.
Polar aligning your telescope before an imaging session can be tedious and time-consuming. But Celestron has streamlined this process with All-Star Polar Alignment technology, built right into Advanced VX. From the time you park your car at your imaging site, you can set up your telescope and be aligned in less than 30 minutes.
With the Advanced VX, you don’t make any compromises. It provides the same excellent performance you’d find on Celestron’s CGE Pro or other top mounts, but for payloads under 30 lb.
A complete imaging setup you can take anywhere
With its portable 8” optical tube and lightweight Advanced VX mount, this setup travels to the most remote dark-sky locations with ease. And with an improved latitude range of 7-77 degrees, there aren’t many places on Earth where your VX mount won’t function. If you’re at a windy or dusty observing site, tube vents with 60 micron mesh keep particles out while still allowing the tube to cool down quickly.
A versatile platform you can customize
Choose the way you want to configure your EdgeHD system: place the camera at prime focus for f/10 imaging, use the EdgeHD focal reducer for a wider field, or add a Hyperstar lens to the front of the telescope for ultra-wide f/2.2 capability. Whether you want to explore planetary imaging or create your own deep sky mosaics, EdgeHD delivers sharp images with pinpoint stars across the sensor.
This telescope is also compatible with all of Celestron’s accessories. Control the telescope wirelessly with the SkyPortal WiFi Module, add automatic alignment with StarSense AutoAlign, and more. A dedicated autoguider port means you can connect your guider plus other accessories.

We don't manage the stock at our warehouse and factory. The actual inventory may fluctuate at any time. It's possible that you may not receive your order once it's been placed.
Our policy is for 30 days. We are unable to return or exchange your purchase after 30 days since the purchase.
In order for your item to be eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the condition you received it. It must also remain in the original packaging.
